What you should bring
Different materials need different paperwork. If something is missing we cannot complete the intake — so it is better to clarify beforehand.

- Vehicle documents, photo ID, proof of entitlement to dispose

- Consignment note or waste record, details of the waste type

- No special paperwork for private individuals; commercial per waste law

Getting here
Amstetten, Industriestraße 12
On the Western Railway and the A1 between Linz and St. Pölten.
By truck: leave the A1 at Amstetten West or Amstetten Ost and follow the signs towards the industrial estate. The weighbridge is approached from Industriestraße.
By rail: the site has its own siding. Please arrange this with dispatch in advance.

Frequently asked about deliveries
Do I have to register in advance?
Not for small quantities. For larger commercial deliveries, block trains and plant clearances please arrange it with dispatch first — then the intake is prepared and everything is faster.
What happens to my end-of-life vehicle?
The vehicle is depolluted first: fluids, battery, airbags, catalytic converter and tyres are removed. It then goes to the shredder and on into deeper separation. You receive the certificate of destruction for deregistration.
Do you accept refrigeration appliances?
Yes. Refrigerators and freezers are large household appliances and are treated in our initial treatment facility to EN 50625-1. Please do not damage them — the refrigerants have to be removed under controlled conditions.
Will I be paid for my material?
For metals usually yes, depending on grade, quantity, contamination and market conditions. The price is set at delivery after weighing. For an indication in advance, call dispatch.
Can private individuals come to Kematen as well?
Intake for private individuals runs through the Amstetten site. If you are unsure which site handles your material, a short phone call will settle it.
