Nine routes, one principle: separate as deeply as possible
We take practically all metal-bearing durable goods — and give them back as single-grade raw materials. From a single washing machine to a block train of ferrous scrap.

How an end-of-life vehicle moves through our plants
Four stages, two sites, one material stream. What arrives as a vehicle leaves us as single-grade raw material.

01 — Amstetten
Depollution
Fluids, battery, airbags, catalytic converter and tyres come out before anything is shredded. What is dangerous is removed first.
Hazardous substances captured separately

02 — Amstetten
Shredder
The body is broken down to fist-sized pieces. The magnet pulls out the iron — for most operators the process ends here.
Ferrous scrap to the EU-27 grade list

03 — Kematen/Ybbs
Non-ferrous separation at Metran
From what the magnet leaves behind we recover aluminium, copper, brass, stainless steel and zinc — fraction by fraction.

Plastics at MGG Polymers
Even the remaining plastics are separated: by polymer type, washed, pelletised and returned into the production of new appliances.

Frequently asked
What people delivering material ask most
If your question is not here, call dispatch — 07472 641 81-39.
Do you accept small quantities from private individuals?
Yes. Separate intake times apply for private individuals at the Amstetten site. The exact times are on the deliveries page.
Do I get proof of treatment?
Yes. For end-of-life vehicles we issue the certificate of destruction; for commercial deliveries the corresponding consignment notes and acceptance confirmations.
What happens to hazardous substances?
Fluids, batteries, capacitors, refrigerants and other hazardous components are removed before any size reduction and sent separately to approved treatment.
Can you take on complete plant clearances?
Yes. With 130 of our own trucks, containers, rail sidings and port access we also handle larger clearances and ongoing industrial waste management. Talk to us directly about this.
What will you pay for my material?
The price depends on grade, contamination, quantity and market conditions and is agreed per delivery. For a reliable answer we need a description of the material — fastest by phone on +43 7472 64181-0.
