Metrec handles ferrous waste in every form: depollution of end-of-life vehicles, depollution of electrical appliances using the patented Smasher technology, shredding of vehicles and mixed metals, e-scrap in the EVA shredder, shearing and preparation. Metrec also runs all logistics for the MGG operations in Austria and Switzerland. Site: Amstetten.

Metran is the specialist for non-ferrous metals from internal and external deliveries. Shredder residues are broken down here by a combination of physical separation processes into non-ferrous concentrates, plastics, circuit boards and organic fractions. Site: Kematen an der Ybbs.

Founded in 2004 as the joint venture MBA Polymers Austria and fully part of the group since 2017. Around 100 employees produce more than 20,000 tonnes of post-consumer recycled plastics a year — PP, ABS, HIPS and PCABS meeting REACH and RoHS. Banned flame retardants and cadmium compounds are separated out and properly disposed of. Site: Kematen an der Ybbs.
